Calculators give estimates, not advice

Every calculator on this site works out an estimate from the numbers you type in. That covers EMI, income tax, GST, SIP, FD and the rest. Nothing here is financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and nothing here takes your own circumstances into account. I am not a registered investment adviser, a tax practitioner or a financial institution.

Before you act on any figure, confirm it with your bank, your lender, a qualified tax professional, or the official portal of the tax authority where you live.

What loan figures do not include

• Processing fees, documentation, legal, valuation and stamp duty charges.
• Insurance premiums that a lender bundles into the loan.
• Interest for the broken period between disbursal and your first instalment.
• Rate changes on a floating-rate loan. Results assume today's rate holds for the full tenure, which it will not.
• Penalties, prepayment charges and any tax relief personal to your situation.

Lenders also round differently, and some work out interest on a daily rest. A difference of a few rupees against your sanction letter is normal.

Tax figures

A tax calculator applies the rates, rebates and surcharges of one country and one year. Both are named on the page. Those rules change with every budget and with the notifications that follow. Exemptions and deductions also depend on facts I do not ask for. Treat the output as a rough comparison, never as a filing figure.

Exam and form specifications

Photo and signature sizes quoted on this site come from published requirements. They change between application cycles, and sometimes between phases of the same process. The official instructions for your own form are the only authority. Check your file against them before you upload, and keep your original photo in case the requirement is different.

Tool output

Resizing, compressing and converting lose information for good and cannot be undone. Merging does not carry across form fields, digital signatures or attachments. Keep your original files until you have confirmed the output is acceptable to whoever asked for it.
